MNAA Training and RTD Needs Analysis Questionnaire

This questionnaire aims to improve the long-term competitiveness of the Atlantic Area by strengthening skills, research, innovation and technology transfer. Partners are working together to create joint Research and Technology Development (RTD) schemes and Training programmes which will not only upgrade the existing labour force but also prepare people to take advantage of the new materials technologies that are on the horizon.

The goal of this survey is to gather and evaluate information provided on current industrial needs for Training and RTD in the area of materials and materials technology. The results will form the basis for directing future programmes in these fields to help the European materials industry improve its international competitiveness. In particular, it is intended to identify measures which will impact across the widest possible spectrum of manufacturers in terms of size and technologies.

It is emphasised that this survey is confidential – no individual view will be identified or be attributable in any subsequent report discussing the results of this questionnaire. The survey organisers will prepare a report summarising the results and recommendations and this will be distributed to all organisations that reply. Furthermore, we anticipate that your organisation would benefit from participation in this survey through access to RTD monies via development of collaborative research proposals and by receipt of information as it becomes available on new offerings from MNAA, eg training, seminars and advice regarding EU directives.
